ROSE HOROWITZ TUTORING

Give your child the tools to succeed!

Ready to Write the Essay that Tells Your Story?

From generating ideas to editing, I work with high school students to develop creative, polished essays that help them succeed in the college application process.

Essays are the best platform for students to show how their personal stories would add value at their choice schools.

Experience has shown me that it takes an open and experienced eye to hone an essay into a finished gem.

I also work with students to help them select reach and safety schools for their applications.

Results? For more than 10 years, I have coached students who have been accepted at schools including Stanford University, Harvard, Case Western, Washington University, Fordham, Emerson, Boston College, University of Connecticut, University of Vermont, and many other schools.

Rose Horowitz Tutoring offers:

  • Expert instruction in writing college essays from brainstorming ideas to editing essays for the Common Application and supplemental essays.
  • Experience working with students that have different learning styles, including ADHD and dyslexia.
  • Coaching for the college application process and guidance on creating lists of reach and safety schools.

You’ve thought about the college application process for years, right? You'll make a spread sheet, set expectations to meet deadlines, make sure that essay is scrubbed to spectacular, and otherwise avoid the silly mistakes of your friends.

Guess what? It’s a minefield and you don’t want to be standing in the middle of it without Rose Horowitz holding your hand.

As an award-winning reporter, Rose understands the greatest enemies of a college essay are lack of detail, lack of editing, and deadlines. She helped my son develop an idea for his main essay and worked with him to make it gripping and insightful, capturing his unique passion and hopes for the future.

In his supplemental essays, Rose worked with him to highlight different aspects of his activities that together showed the breadth of who he was as a person and student.

Bring her into your process early to alleviate indigestion and heart burn."
